Grief Counseling

Grief counseling with me is a space where your loss is honored and your pace is respected. Whether you are grieving the death of someone you love, a relationship, a dream, or a major life change, you are welcome to bring the full range of your emotions-sadness, anger, guilt, relief, or confusion.
Navigating loss can feel lonely, especially if the people around you expect you to "move on" before you are ready. In our sessions, you do not have to rush your healing or hide how deeply you are hurting. I sit with you in that space and help you make sense of the waves that come and go. A big part of this work is building grief coping skills. Together, we find practical ways for you to get through hard days, anniversaries, and unexpected triggers. This might include grounding tools for when emotions feel overwhelming, rituals to honor your loved one or what you lost, and strategies for communicating your needs to others.
We also talk about life after loss-not as forgetting, but as learning to carry your grief in a way that does not drown you. Over time, you may find a new relationship with your memories, your identity, and your future. I help you notice tiny signs of strength and meaning as they begin to reappear, without forcing you into silver linings you are not ready for.
Grief has no timeline, and you do not have to walk through it by yourself. My hope is that counseling offers you steadier ground, a kinder inner voice, and a sense that it is possible to keep loving what you lost while still moving gently forward.
